Open Enrollment Guidelines

On October 21, 2015 the Clear Creek Amana School Board voted to approve the following guidelines regarding open enrollment requests effective for the 2016-17 school year, per Board Policy 606.6.


Amana Elementary: Open 
Clear Creek Elementary: Open 
North Bend Elementary: Closed 
Tiffin Elementary: Closed 
Middle School: Closed 
High School: Closed


These guidelines are for the 2016-17 school year and will have no effect on your student if open enrollment has been approved for all prior years.


Deadline for open enrollment for the 2016-17 school year is March 1, 2016. Kindergarten is September 1, 2016.

Parents or guardians considering the use of the open enrollment option to enroll their children in another public school district in the state of Iowa should be aware of the following dates: March 1, 2016 the last date for regular open enrolled requests for the 2016-17 school year.  A student entering kindergarten must file the application prior to September 1, 2016.

A pupil who transfers school districts under open enrollment in all grades 10-12 shall not be eligible to participate in interscholastic contests and competitions during the first 90 days of transfer. Parents/guardians of open enrolled students whose income falls below 160 percent of the federal poverty guidelines are eligible for transportation assistance.
